"On behalf of our family, we would all like to thank you for all you did for us at one of the most difficult times of our lives. We wouldn’t have changed one thing with her funeral."
"My brother & I would like to thank you for making our grief a bit lighter. Our mother looked beautiful and finally at peace. I feel she would have been pleased with our choices. Thank you again for everything."
"We did not count how many times someone said to us “Your Mom looks beautiful” but it was a lot. Our mom had the most beautiful goodbye that we could have ever imagined. Everything was absolutely perfect with no exceptions. Our thanks to the staff at Slater’s and thank you sooo much for everything you did to make our final moments with our mom so so special."
My mother died late on Christmas Eve after a stay in hospice. Without giving thought to the holiday, I called Jeff at John F. Slater and arranged to meet with him the following morning. Early Christmas morning there Jeff was–Christmas tie and all–acting as if it were just an ordinary Tuesday, rather than the biggest holiday of the year. Only days later did I realize that I had no need to call Jeff away from his family that morning. I could easily have waited until the next day. But Jeff acted as if he had all the time in the world for me and never let on that his family was home without him celebrating. I’ll always be grateful to Jeff and John F. Slater Funeral Home for that.
