Piljuga, Robert “Bob” N., age 77, of Brentwood, passed away on April 12, 2018 in his home.
Born on October 30,1940 in Pittsburgh, Pa, he was the son of the late Ned and Agnes Piljuga. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan. Bob retired from Westinghouse after 30 years of service. In his retirement years, he was a bus driver for Mt. Lebanon daycare, and an usher for Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Pitt Panthers games.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kristin Renee (1973).
Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Florence Piljuga; three daughters, Lisa (John) Hamilton of Center Twp., Kimberly (Mark) Hutton of Upper Saint Clair, and Tami Piljuga-Gillette of Brentwood; four grandchildren, Alex Hamilton, Allie Hutton, Olivia Hutton, and Lauren Hamilton. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and his faithful four-legged companion, Maggie Mae. Bob was a wonderful husband, Dad, and grandfather to his family and will be sadly missed.
Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday April 15, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m.
