One in three US women and one in two US men will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. That’s why we Relay. The Relay for Life event is a community carnival, of sorts, with games, activities, bake sales, and other fun events designed for all members of the community. During this event, organizing team members walk around a track to signify that cancer never sleeps…but neither do we in the fight to find a cure. The Baldwin-Brentwood-Whitehall Relay will be held at Baldwin High School on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. All community members are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Western Pennsylvania is home to one of the largest veteran populations in the country. From Pearl Harbor and Bastogne to Fallujah to Kandahar, our region has veterans who have served on every battle front over the past 75 years. “These veterans are all around us, and each has a story to tell, no matter where or how they served. All you need to do is ask,” says Todd DePastino, Executive Director for the Veterans Breakfast Club. “And that’s why we created the Veterans Breakfast Club: to get veterans together with their families, friend, and neighbors and have the vets share stories of their service.”
