Age 85, on Thursday, August 14, 2014, of Brentwood .

Beloved husband of the late Edna (Hodnick); father of Elaine (Bob) Knezovich and Susan Fiedler; proud grandpap of Lauren and Stephen Knezovich; great-grandpap of Lucas; brother of Norma (the late Jack) Bangert, Claire (Ralph) Wesling and the late Bob and Howard Fiedler; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Al was a former jeweler. He co-owned and operated Fiedler Brothers in downtown Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 am.
