June 4, 1926 - August 4, 2018Snitzer, Alfred H. "Snitz" Age 92, peacefully in his sleep and surrounded by family, on Saturday, August 4, 2018 of Whitehall, formerly of Bethel Park.

Beloved husband of Jane Snitzer for over 70 years; loving father of Linda (Frank) Geletei, Arlene (Lou) Ball and Pastor Bob (Barbara) Snitzer; grandfather of Jennifer (Mark) Wittkopp, Carey (Jack) Parkin, Lori (Joseph) Watts, Diane (Dave) Payne, Jill Ball, Bobby (Melissa) Snitzer and Rachel Snitzer; great-grandfather of Jack, Jr., Kaylee, Sarah, Joshua, Jacob, Gracie, Isaac, David, Amber, Megan, Michael, Tristan and Devon. Alfred was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during WWII, stationed in the Pacific with the Amphibious Corp. He worked for LTV (formerly J&L Steel), worked for Evey's Hardware after retirement, and was a longtime volunteer for SHIM. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 3-6 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Allegheny Health Network, Hospice and Palliative Care Fund, 4818 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224 or SHIM, 5301 Park Ave, Bethel Park, PA 15102.
