Obituary For Alice Jean (Jeffries) Chester

October 19, 1925 - May 25, 2017

Age 91, surrounded by her family, on May 25, 2017, of Mt. Lebanon.

Beloved wife of the late William Chester; loving mother of Kevin (the late Sally) Chester, Mary Beth (Bob) Labbett, Janet (Tom) Cocchi, William (Kim) Chester, Jim (Jody) Chester, Patty Hamill, Michael (Colleen) Chester, Jeanne (Ed Collins) Tankersly, Margaret(Bob) McGann, Rachel (Ron) Hough and the late Carol A. Niccoli; adoring grandmother of 31 and33 great-grandchildren; daughter of the late Joseph and Lauretta Jeffries. Alice is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Friday, June 2, 2017, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 10:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Capistran, 1610 McMillan Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241, at 11:00 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to People Concerned for the Unborn Child, 3050 Pioneer Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15226.
