Obituary For Alice L. Cass

January 2, 1927 - June 7, 2015

Cass, Alice L., age 88, on Sunday, June 7, 2015 of Whitehall Borough. Wife of the late Robert M. Cass; mother of Wayne (Jane) Cass also of Whitehall; proud grandmother of Katelynn, Alyssa and Timothy Cass. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alice was an artist; she was a former member of the former Whitehall Arts Club; and belonged to the Brentwood Historical Society. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to the St. Elizabeth Elementary School Angel Fund, One Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

    I remembered that my Dad, Bernie Boehm, was in the Whitehall Arts Club with Mrs. Cass. I remember how much the Arts club meant, and I remember his kind words about Mrs. Cass. May she rest in peace. (And, yes, I'm sure she's probably helping to conduct Heavenly Arts 101.
