Obituary For Alvina M. (Palatucci) Joyce

Age 94, surrounded by her family on Monday, March 4, 2024, of Brentwood .

Beloved wife of 49 years to the late John J. Jr.; loving mother of Jacqueline (Dave) Wright, John J. III (Beverly) Joyce and Jeffrey (Donna) Joyce; proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 12; sister of Anthony (Mary) Palatucci and the late Jane (Fred) Davoli; sister-in law of Patricia (the late Richard) Aaron. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Alvina had a long and impactful career as a registered nurse working at various hospitals and nursing homes. She spent her life caring for others and was happiest spending time with her family. She volunteered with hospice and also Meals-on-Wheels. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday and Friday, March 7 & 8, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish , St. Sylvester Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memorials Processing, Memphis, TN 38105.

    Alvina was our neighbor for many many years. It was always a pleasure seeing her next door. She was always smiling and enjoying life with friends and family. She had only kind words for people she was around. We are going to miss seeing next door. RIP Alvina the LORD got a great lady to be with him in HEAVEN
