Obituary For Amber K. Mersing

January 2, 1991 - June 4, 2015

Mersing, Amber K. Age 24, on Thursday, June 4, 2015, of Whitehall.

Beloved daughter of Janine M. Rainaldi and Shawn Mersing; sister of Josh Mersing; granddaughter of Joanne and Robert Fleet, Louis and Cathleen Rainaldi and the late Bonnie; great-granddaughter of Jan (the late Bob) Young; niece of Louis (Rhonda) Rainaldi, Jr. and Savannah and Gianna. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Amber was a free spirit who enjoyed every aspect of "the arts". She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227 on Sunday from 2-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Sunday evening at 7:00.

    We loved and enjoyed Our little Amber. Amber was a joy to be around. I always treated her as my little girl even though she was our first granddaughter. Amber was very energetic. I Will miss her beautiful voice. I have so many very good memories of Amber. I am happy that she is at peace with God today. Amber suffered with a lot of depression plus other things. She had a large battle to fight and I can honestly say I am glad her battle is over. I will miss her everyday. Amber was a big part of my life and always will be in my heart. love you Amber

    Amber and I met during the summer at whitehall pool when we were in middle school. When we were younger we used to talk on the phone at least once a week and I'll never forget she used to get amused playing Kylie Minogue on the phone because it used to drive me nuts, but looking back on it, it was funny and cute. We eventually went seperate ways and lost touch, she always had a place in my mind and we would occassionally talk on Facebook and it saddened me to read this. My condolences go out to her family and I know she's in a better place now.
