Obituary For Andrew J. Fohr

November 13, 1923 - August 3, 2016

Fohr, Andrew J. "A.J.", age 92, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 of Whitehall. Beloved husband of 70 years to Mary Alice Fohr; loving father of Donna M. Chakravarty, David A. (Diane), Andrea (Timothy) Decker, Allyn S. (Mark) Ramsey and Paul R. (Denise); proud grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 12; brother of Mary Grill. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A.J. served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from Westinghouse as a draftsman. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood PA 15227 on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Fair Oaks Senior Living, 2200 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15226 or Kindred Hospice, 190 Bilmar Dr, #200, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
