Obituary For Angelo J. Petronio, Jr.

February 2, 1930 - March 17, 2015

Petronio, Angelo J., Jr. Age 85, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, of Brentwood, formerly of New York City.

Beloved husband of the late Norberta Petronio; loving father of John J., Mary H. (Michael) Shawley and Thomas R. (Maida) Petronio; grandfather of many. Angelo worked as a Staff Assistant for U.S. Steel for over 40 yrs. He was an active member of St. Sylvester Parish, serving as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister, and a former member of St. Sylvester Bowling League and the South Hills Steelers League. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 am.

    The Remark family extend our condolences to the Petronio family. I worked with Angelo in many of the St. Sylvester parish festivals throughout the years. He was always a joy to work with. He would provide many laughs and great discussions about current events. He was devoted to the Catholic faith and showed this by his volunteer work at the parish. I have requested a Mass by the Monks of St. Vincent Archabbey, Latrobe, Pa.to be said on behalf of Angelo.
