Obituary For Ann Rodgers

March 15, 1922 - May 8, 2017

Rodgers, Ann Age 95, peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2017, of Baldwin Boro.

Beloved wife of the late Norman Rodgers; loving mother of Joann (Robert) Steigerwald, Lloyd (Loretta) Rodgers, Linda (Gary) Watson and Gary (Mary Grace) Rodgers; identical twin sister to Helen Polakowski; proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 11; also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews. Ann was a compassionate and loving person and her loving and gracious nature and heart, as well as her pierogies and nut rolls, will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Friday, May 12, 2017, 2-7 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Germaine Church at 11:00 am.

    Aunt Ann was truly a beautiful lady on the inside and outside. I have many fond memories of her and Uncle Norman. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. Sending prayers and sympathy to the Rodgers family.

    I have warm memories of sitting on my Aunt Ann's lap at first holy communion party in 1971. She always had a smile, every time I saw her. Sympathies to all the Rodgers family.
