December 18, 1922 - September 4, 2016

Pifer, Anna S. (Donalies), age 93, on Sunday, September 4, 2016 of Carrick. Beloved wife of the late Dr. John G. Pifer; loving mother of Raymond (Sally) Pifer, Virginia Herrington, William (Jody) Pifer and the late Timothy (survived by Josie) Pifer, Carol (survived by Jim) Glenn and Thomas Pifer; grandmother of Scott Pifer, William (Erika) Grubbs, Theresa (Scott) Stockhausen, Tammy (Tom) Giles, Amy (Bruce) Graham, Timothy Pifer, Thomas Pifer, and Johnathan Pifer; great-grandmother of Tyler, Josh, Alexis, Jayden, Scarlett, Alec, Samuel, Daniel and Anna; sister of Margaret Ochs, Mildred Tagg, Grace (Mel) Yawney and the late William Donalies, Marie Steighner, Ruth Gazzam, Laverne Sorochman, Virginia (survived by Carl) Cantella, Howard (survived by Janet) Donalies and Danny (survived by Helene) Donalies. Anna was a constant support to her family when a prayer was needed. She was a devout Catholic, charity supporter, and as her family considered a real "prayer warrior." Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostles Parish in St. Basil Church at 10:30 a.m.
