Obituary For Anne Helen Hearn

Age 97, of Baldwin Borough, passed away peacefully.

Wife of 66 years to the late Thomas Hearn; mother of Georgianne (Edward) Bakosh, Robert M. “Noodles” Hearn and the late Thomas A. “Chip” Hearn, Jr.; grandmother of Brianne (Eric) Hunner, Jill (Robert) Gray, Alyson Bakosh and Thomas W. Hearn; great-grandmother of Blake, Dayna, Teague, Talin, Raegan, Carson and Cannon; daughter of the late Mane and Jelena (Zubasic) Topich; sister of the late Mildred (Dush) Kosanovich, Marie Boyle, Helen (Harry) Kaszak, Dolores (Ray) Stiefvater and George (Barbara) Topich; survived by sisters Nadine (Eli) Maravich and Shirley (Bob) Kidner and brother Dane M. Topich. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, two of whom, Dane and Marijia Topich, gave so much love and support to Anne the last year of her life while she resided at Concordia of Franklin Park. Anne was employed by Steel City Piping for many years as a bookkeeper. She really enjoyed playing cards and had belonged to quite a few card clubs in the Baldwin-Whitehall area. Anne even taught residents at Concordia card games and actively played cards with her nephew, Dane. Another favorite past time of Anne’s was her special talent to crochet a variety of items. She had a huge heart and gave everything she crocheted to loved ones and friends. It gave her such joy, and those items will always be cherished by those who received them from Anne. Her proudest crocheted piece was an enormous American flag displayed at the VFW Post 1810. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 2-6 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne’s name may be made to Concordia of Franklin Park,1600 Georgetowne Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143.
