Paterra, Anthony "Dink" Age 98, on Saturday, March 7, 2015, of McKeesport.

Beloved husband of 73 years to Catherine; loving father of Nancy (the late Bill) Gelzheiser and Christine (Ron) Skowronski; cherished uncle of Phyllis Philpott Thakis; grandfather of David Skowronski, Brian Gelzheiser, Karen (Ryan) Keegan and Kristen Gelzheiser; great-grandfather of Alexa, Cate, Ashley and Maddy; brother of the late Mary, John, Ann and Joseph; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Dink retired from U.S. Steel after 43 years. He played for the Big Five, a semi-pro traveling basketball team from McKeesport, was a member of the Palanese Italian Club where he served as bartender, and was a member of Whitehall Presbyterian Church. His family would like to extend a special thank you to ViaQuest Hospice. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
