ANTHONY "Tony" IANNACCHIONE

Age 95, of Whitehall, formerly of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Loving father of Carl Richard (Lisa) Burkhardt, Howard (Joyce) Burkhardt and Tina (Dan) Martin. Dear husband of the late Helen (DeSimone) Iannacchione. Preceded in death by his parents Lucy and Joseph, sister Vin Cenci and brother Joe Remo. Survived by his sister Nancy (Bernie) Caplan and his nieces and nephews.

Tony worked most of his life at the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier until retirement, then he worked at Dick Corporation and Chartier’s Center in the mail room. He was part owner of Tony Remo’s Bar in Carrick for many years. He was a Pittsburgh sports fan and loved talking about the Steelers with his devoted nephew, Mike. He was always up for a game of golf and enjoyed going to the horse races, including a trip to the Triple Crown. He was an avid gardener and grew the best tomatoes. He got to visit his family roots in San Pietro Avellana, Italy and saw where his family lived.

The family would like to thank the Residence of Whitehall assisted living facility and Monarch Hospice for their unconditional care.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas A' Becket Church in Jefferson Hills on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Everyone please meet at the church.
