Obituary For Arthur C. Bishop

January 20, 1920 - March 29, 2015

Bishop, Arthur C. Age 95, on Sunday, March 29, 2015, of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of 67 years to the late Kitty Bishop; loving father of Kathleen Delaney (Bob Harris) and (the late Jack Delaney), Sally (Charlie) Schubert, Janet Bishop, Betsy (George) Schoedel and the late Art and Billy Bishop; very proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by his exceptional caregiver Josephine. Arthur served in the U. S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He was co-owner/founder, along with his wife, of Bishop Metals, Inc. Art will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, was one of the last true "gentle" men, always seeing the best in everyone and everything. He loved golf, his garden, his church and above all, his Kitty. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Tuesday from 6-9 pm and Wednesday from 10-11 am at which time a service will be held, followed by full military honors. Entombment will be held privately.
