Obituary For Arthur Henry Fix

June 4, 1919 - December 21, 2014

Fix, Arthur H. Age 95, peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 21, 2014 of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of 67 years to Erma (Butelli); loving father of Linda (Tom) Southard, Cheryl (Jay) Brenner, Mary Pat (Michael) Flaherty, Charles Fix and Janice McKenzie; grandfather of Jim, Allison, Ryan and Katie; great-grandfather of Eli and Avery; brother of Lawrence, Donald, William, Thomas, Shirley Tabella, Betty Husa and the late Rita Geiger, Eleanor Harris and Robert Fix. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Art served in the 359th Fighter Squadron and 356th Fighter Group during WWII. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

    Erma, Linda, Mary Pat, Chuck, Janice, Jim, Ryan, Katie, all of you, We remember "Schultz" very fondly, the afternoons and evenings in the backyard of Mary Pat and Mike's or at Chuck's. He was a grand story teller, especially of times with the fighter squadron and of when you were all small. I thank you all for including us in those times so we could know him a bit.
