Age 73, passed unexpectedly on August 24, 2025, of Brentwood, formerly of Baldwin and South Side. Father of Rachel Aul, Natalie (Brad) Barone, Benjamin (Ellen) Aul and the late Angela "Angie" Aul; beloved grandfather of Cora Aul, Bailey and Rory Barone and Aubrey and Lila Aul; son of the late Edward and Laverne (Gehrmann) Aul; brother of Francis (Linda) Aul and the late Lorraine (survived by Robert Kohler) Aul. Also survived by Chris Aul, Heather (Jason) Bocz and five great-nieces and great-nephews. Art was a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan, especially of the Pirates and the Pitt Panthers. His passion for sports carried into his children’s lives, where he coached all of their youth teams. He was also an avid classic film enthusiast, with a particular fondness for Bing Crosby-often reminding others that Crosby was once a co-owner of his beloved Pirates. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 3-7 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m.
