Obituary For Arthur R. Sallustio

February 29, 1924 - August 6, 2017

Sallustio, Arthur R. "Art" Age 93, of Carrick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Beloved husband of 53 years to the late Mary Sallustio; father of George J. (Sue), Arthur F., Joseph (Lynne), Joann (James) Scherer and Frances (Keith) Nagel; grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of four; son of the late Joseph and Frances Sallustio; brother of Julie (the late Frank) Kersul and the late Patsy (Vienna) Sullustio. Art loved the outdoors and was a lifelong member of Clairton Sportsman's Club, an avid bowler and a veteran of WWII. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, August 10, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish, St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

I'll never forget the look in your eyes when I blessed your forehead... "Thank You" and a quiet smile was your reply. Faith now, will carry your family through. My prayers are endless for you all.
