Obituary For Arthur William "Bill" Hamilton

Age 97, peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2023, of Pittsburgh.

Beloved husband of 70 years to Sarah C. Hamilton; loving father of Jack (Patti), Mary Kay and Mark Hamilton; proud pap of Rachel, Mark, and Patrick; great-grandfather of Elise, Emmie and Grant; brother of Jean Peters and the late Dick, Chuck, Sister Marie Arthur S.C. and Nancy Chapla. Also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Bill proudly and humbly served his country in WWII with the United States Army Air Corps. He also was a longtime service manager and mechanic for Pittsburgh Contractors. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-882-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, February 17 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
