Gus was a friend and fellow crossing guard in Bethel Park. I loved when he shared his stories of the "good old days". Rest in peace buddy.

Condolences to the Family of Gus Linder. I can recall his name since I was small. And I always loved sprint cars. My brothers and I had our photo taken with Gus at the racing reunion at Heidelberg two years ago. He had raced at the first event at Greater Latrobe Speedway May 4, 1952, finishing third. We are having our fourth reunion May 23 for the track and will miss that Gus is no longer with us. Just wished he could have come out to see the old track. To all the family, our deepest regrets. Gus was a one of a kind individual. Friend, adversary, hero. From the Steeler games, the parties at their home to the race track, the list of memories are longer than his list of Gus' accomplishments. Through it all I will be forever proud to remember Gus above everything else as "friend". Sorry we can't be there in person to grieve with you. Each of you will be in our prayers for God's healing and comfort. Pastor Dudley and Nancy Balmer
