Obituary For Barbara Jan Waterkotte (Hovis)

Age 67, peacefully with her family, on Monday, October 23, 2023, of Whitehall, formerly of Pleasant Hills.

Beloved mom of Briah (Joel Niecgorski) Waterkotte, Brenna (Zach) Luncinski and C. Brooke Waterkotte; proud "Bear" of Laycie, Luke and Ryleigh Grace; cherished sister of Sue Livezy, Diane "Doll" Hines and Marybeth (Bob) Ross. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and many friends. Barb will especially be missed by her companions "Gatsby" and "Chessie" and many other pets that had the fortune of her as their owner. Barb was well-known for her infectious laugh, her love of animals and was happiest spending time with her family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to ASPCA.org in memory of Barb for her love of animals.
