Family and Friends of Barbara (King) Baker Lahr,
May God comfort and support you in the time of your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
â??Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Fatherâ??s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.â?? John 14: 1 -3
God Bless and Keep You,

So sorry to hear of her passing! I am a former member of Baldwin Community UMC and Mrs. Baker (Lahr) directed the Cherub Choir years ago. I remember going to Bimbos-a local eatery- with her at a year end choir party when I was young! I often saw her on my walks through the neighborhood as my family lived on the street above the Baker family.

We were so sad to hear about Barb. We enjoyed singing in the BCUMC choir with her and she watched our children grow up in nursery school and church. We are sorry we will not be able to visit the funeral home or attend the service because we are going out of town tomorrow. Barb was a good friend and we have many fond memories of her. Our deepest sympathy - you are all in our thoughts and prayers. - Joel & Carolyn

Mrs. Baker was a music teacher at Overlook Elementary School and she brought amazing energy and passion to the classroom. She especially loved musicals and I over 50 years later I never hear "West Side Story" that I don't think of her. May she rest in Peace.

We are so very sorry to hear of Barbs passing. She was our music teacher at Overlook Elementary School and we will never forget her. We attended her wedding when we were little girls and sat in the first pew with matching dresses. It's hard to imagine that was over 50 years ago. She touched many lives. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
