Obituary For Barbara L. Rush

May 4, 1948 - September 14, 2017

Rush, Barbara L. (Geis), age 69, on Thursday, September 14, 2017 of Carrick. Beloved wife of Thomas L. Rush for over 35 years; loving mother of Gary (Stacy) Rush and Amy (Michael) Hogle; grandmother of Zackary, Rylie, Abigail and Landon; daughter of the late Harry and Mabel Geis; sister of Harry (Marie) Geis, Jr. and Patricia (Mark) Frazier. Also survived by her cherished nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dear Friend of Carol (the late James) Nerone. Barb retired after 50 wonderful years at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday and Sunday, September 16 & 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 333 E. Carson St., Ste. 441 Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
