Obituary For Barbara Ling

June 10, 1949 - December 5, 2018

Ling, Barbara (Blahut), age 69, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 of Whitehall, formerly of Carrick and the Southside. Beloved wife of nearly 50 years to Rick Ling; loving mother of Richard J. Ling; sister of Christine "Kitty" Beringer and the late Cynthia Moberg; aunt of Jonathan Beringer. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 3-8 p.m. Memorial Mass on THURSDAY, December 13, 2018 in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 11:00 a.m. Everyone please meet at church.

    Dear Rick, Ricky and Kitty, I'm heartbroken. Even though we hadn't seen each other for a very long time, Barb always came into my thoughts when I visited Pittsburgh and I deeply regret not getting in touch with her since we moved back to Pittsburgh last year. She was my dearest childhood friend...pretty, funny, and sweet. So many funny and fun memories of the good times we shared are flooding back to me. May you find some measure of comfort in the wonderful lifetime of memories you have of Barb. Dennis and I send you love and support. Know that you're in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Susan
