Barton "BART" Skala....a man I have known for many years, a Blue Knights Brother, a Master Mason Brother, a Brother Marine, We taught the motorcycle safety course together for the State, and I had the pleasure of working with him in Stowe Twp. many years ago. A wealth of knowledge in the PA Vehicle code...I think he wrote it...lol. I think the ONLY person he wouldn't write a ticket to was his lovely wife...and that was out of fear...lol. If he had a mover with drugs a warrant or whatever, the back-up car got the arrest, as per Bart, "I ain't got time for that rabbit shit." He still holds records in citations issued & tows to the yard in the City of Pittsburgh...it's what he excelled at. He was so much to many people...but to me he was like a father as well as a friend. A very humble, quiet, and generous man. I will miss you so very much. Movers (speeders) in Heaven be ware, BART (cycle 2) will get you....May you Rest in Peace Brother.

All of you have My Deepest Sympathy. Bart was one of the kindest Officers and Gentleman through my career. Even though I was in Rescue; Bart and I crossed paths on some of the serious auto incidents & crazy other events. He was a great instructor. I never forgot. May he rest in Peace.
