Obituary For Carole Joan Marchetti

Age 89, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, formerly of Pleasant Hills. Mother of Bruce (Lauren) Marchetti; grandmother of Brian (Emily) and Bethany Marchetti; great-grandmother of Elijah, Emmett and Connor; sister of Ilona “Penny” (George) Stash. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Delmar and Helen Holiday and brother, Gary (Julie) Holiday. Joan was a long-time resident at the Southwestern Veterans’ Center. Her family wishes to thank her caregivers on 4 North for their many years of kindness and care. Friends will be received at John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 2-6 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00. Interment to follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. If desired, family suggests donations to Humane Animal Rescue, 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.

    Bruce, Lauren and family: so sorry for your loss. I am sorry we cannot make the visitation. Jack's brother's visitation is on Tuesday with his funeral service on Wednesday.
