Obituary For Carolyn M. Micher

December 23, 1939 - August 27, 2018

Micher, Carolyn M. (Fatkin), age 78, unexpectedly on August 27, 2018 of Baldwin Boro, formerly of Hazelwood. Loving wife of the late Daniel P. Micher; beloved mother to Daniel R. (Sadie Nguyen) Micher, Mary A. (Howard) Hyer, Jeffrey C. Micher, and Jennifer L. (John Nick) Hawthorn; proud Grammy of Jacob, Kallie, Miranda, Clay, Emily, Ian, Jack, Evelyn and Jillian; sister of Norma Jean (the late Bernard) Micher; preceded in death by fiancé Charles Piper. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carolyn enjoyed singing in choir at St. Albert the Great Church, was an avid karaoke performer and was at her happiest being a mother, a grammy, and a friend to all. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to ALS Association, 1275 K.     My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Carolyn was a lovely person with an even lovelier soul. She was a joy to everyone who heard her voice and got to spend time with her. I knew her from karaoke and loved her dearly. I will miss her dearly.

    Please accept our humble condolences. Carolyn was a gentle soul, kind beyond belief, and a fine singer. Though I knew her only through singing karaoke in the Pittsburgh area, she was a valued songstress and will be sorely missed.
