Obituary For Catherine "Kay" McEvoy

April 19, 1926 - May 6, 2015

McEvoy, Catherine "Kay", on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 of Arlington Heights. Beloved wife of 63years to the late John "Jack" McEvoy; devoted mother of Susan (Al) Wiedenheft, Gerald (Richard Walker), Jeffrey (Nora) and Glenn (Dianne) McEvoy; loving grandmother of Addysen and Caitlin McEvoy; sister of Fred Obeldobel; sister-in-law of Bea and Joan Obeldobel. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Vianney Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Concordia of Monroeville, 4363 Northern Pike, Monroeville, PA 15146.

    To all the members of the McEvoy family, My sincere sympathy and prayers on the passing of your mother, Kay. What a beautiful example of love and caring your parents showed for the 63 years of their marriage. I will always treasure the time I spent with your Mom and Dad at the many AOH meetings, dinners and conventions. I will say a Mass for Kay this Sunday.
