Obituary For Charles H. Loether

Age 64, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, of North Strabane.

Loving husband of Patricia (Nowicki); beloved father of Chad, Matthew and Bridget; step-grandfather of Rayne Stone and Ryan McConnell; son of Betty Ann (Mussetter) and the late Martin H. Loether; brother of Kim Ann (Rich) Newbould, Mindy Ann (Jeff) Ellis, Polly Ann (Steve) Joyce, Heidi Ann (Paul) Lang and Beth Ann (Ed) Larkin. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Chuck was a force, an energetic spirit that lived for the next adventure. He looked forward to everything whether it was the next concert, the next outdoor music festival, the next good day to take the Harley out for a ride, or the bikes to trail, or enjoy 9 holes on the golf course or take a swim. He was patriotic and a protector, blessed with a brilliant, creative mind, and the quickest wit. His natural twinkle and perfect smile was a light for his family and friends, and even strangers who happened on his path. He will be missed beyond what he would have imagined and to anyone was ever lucky enough to hear him say, “Let’s go” and join him on his next adventure.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 12-3 and 4-8 p.m. A blessing service will be held at 8:00 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to CORE, 204 Sigma Drive, RIDC Park, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.

My deepest condolences to Chuck's family, working with Chuck I know how much he made work better... and how much it won't be the same every day w/o him... can't imagine the life that you had with him and how much you must miss him already. He was so full of life, so kind, so gentle and he had a way to so easily make us laugh. (like you mentioned he had that whit at work also :)) He always had a smile on his face and was always quick to help anyone and everyone. I am so grateful to have known him, and so many times at work I will now be thinking of him. He made work so much more fun and light. It made me smile reading his obituary, to know he always lived life to the fullest. He is an inspiration to all of us to do the same thing going foward.

My condolences to Chuck's family for their loss. Growing up next door to Chuck, I can still hear him say "let's go". Whether it was basketball in his driveway, golf at South Park or street hockey at Sickman Elementary School he was a motivator. The memories are warm and many. Thank you Chuck. God Bless you and your family.
