Obituary For Charles R. McCormick

March 23, 1933 - August 27, 2015

McCormick, Charles R. Age 82, on Thursday, August 27, 2015, of Brentwood .

Husband of Judy McCormick; father of Charles R. (Debbie) McCormick, Jr.of Leetsdale, Lisa McCormick of South Park, Lori J. (Michael) Coury of South Park, Dawn (Bob) Dowling, Christy Zaparoni and Shawn (Lauren) Loadman; grandfather of Jamie, Jennifer, Jessica, Justine, Christopher, Brandon, Samaya, Tyler and Tanner, Kaylee and Shane; Chuck was preceded in death by his grandson Joshua; brother of Richard (Sheila) McCormick of AZ and the late Betty Wachenheimer, Elaine Burton, Evelyn Fisher, Ruth Thomas, Thomas (survived by Phyllis) and William McCormick; son of the late Alice and Thomas McCormick; five great-grandchildren; also survived and loved by his many nieces and nephews. Chuck was most proud of his service in his country's Army during the Korean Conflict, and to his VFW Post 402, holding all of the Post and District 29 chairs. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Saturday from 4-8 p.m and Sunday from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday morning at 8:30. Interment to follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. If desired, family suggests contributions to VAMC, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240, Attn: Hero's Hall/Honor Escort.
