Charles T. "Chuck" Thompson, age 94, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed peacefully on February 15, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (Riederer) Thompson. Father of Paul R. (Teddi) Thompson, David (Vicky) Thompson, Joan (Brett) Spencer, John C. (Charissa Foster) Thompson, and the late Ann (John) O'Brien and Bruce (survived by Connie) Thompson. Grandpap of 12 grandchildren. Great-grandpap of 21 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Lester and Margaret Thompson of Munhall. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Chuck proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He spent over 10 years as the Vice President of the Korean War Veterans Association. He was a dedicated volunteer at the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. Chuck shared his faith as a Eucharistic Minister at various churches in the Pittsburgh area, the last of which being St. Mary of the Mount Church. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 2p.m.-4p.m. A blessing service will be held on Sunday at 4:15p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to the Women's Center and Shelter of the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
