January 5, 1930 - March 11, 2015

Quel, Charles W. Age 85, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 of Baldwin Boro.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Maryanna; loving father of David M. (Amy); proud grandfather of Yana E.; brother of Jean Long and the late Doris Swan. There will be no visitation. Interment will be private. Arrangements made by John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227. If desired, family suggests contributions to Whitehall Public Library, 100 Borough Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236, or Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

    I first met Charlie when I got my job at the branch house in supplies. He was always very friendly and I enjoyed working for him. He taught me how to drive a stick shift panel truck.
