Obituary For Charlotte H. Bartus

May 13, 1938 - October 12, 2015

Bartus, Charlotte H. (Mojta) Age 77, on Monday, October 12, 2015, of Baldwin.

Beloved wife of 55 years to John F. Bartus; loving mother of Michael (Denise) Bartus; Cheryl (Jimmy) Paterni; Mark (Diane) Bartus and the late Nancy Gaughan; adoring Busi of Sean, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Christy, Nicholas, Melissa, Katelyn, Sam, Mark and Lynn; daughter of the late Chester and Eleanor Mojta; sister of Marlene O'Toole, Phyllis Taylor and Bernadette Sheldon. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. She was a lifetime member of the Polish Falcons of America. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Starcznski Scholarship Foundation, c/o Polish Falcons of America, 381 Mansfield Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15220.

    Very sorry to hear of Charlotte's passing. We remember the good old days @ St Adalbert's and the basketball practices and games at the Market House. Of course I was Paul Maciejewski in those days. God Bless !

    I was sad to learn of Charlotte's untimely death. I have very fond memories of working with her at PCC events and at Kosciuszko events. She was always a gracious lady and a dedicated worker, and she will be missed. My sympathies go out to the entire Bartus family.
