Obituary For Christine T. (Mervosh) McBride

Age 79, on Monday, January 16, 2023, of Whitehall.

Beloved wife of 55 years to Michael R.; loving mother of Kendra Lynn (Michael) Nelson and David M. McBride; loving Grandma of Olin and Dominic Nelson; daughter of the late Peter and Virginia (Acklin) Mervosh; sister of the late Peter (survived by Glenna) Mervosh and Robert (Marilyn) Mervosh; stepsister of the late Patricia Rocco. Also survived by nieces, nephews, many loving cousins, including Nancy (Walter) Wills, Thomas (Susan) Perkins and Tina (David) Amore and her beloved dog Sparky. Christine was an avid Steeler fan and dog lover. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Friday morning at 10:30. If desired, family suggests contributions to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

    Mike, Kendra and David. We are so sorry that Chris is no longer with you and can't imagine how your lives will be without her. We were so happy that she was part of our lives and every time we talked she kept me up to date on what was going on with Kendra and David. It was my pleasure to know Chris who among other thing was a bridesmaid in my wedding 58 years ago and a friend much longer. Take care of each other!
