Christopher “Chris” Luscri, age 66, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2025, at his home in Cary, North Carolina, surrounded by his loving family. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Bruno Luscri, and many other relatives he held dear. He is survived by his loving mother, Anna Mae Luscri; his devoted sister, Donna-Jean Keim, and her husband, Neal; his beloved nephews, Joshua and Matthew; as well as many close cousins and longtime friends. Born on November 2, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chris lived most of his life in Frederick, Maryland. He graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1977, where he excelled in both golf and tennis, earning varsity letters in each sport. During his senior year, he proudly served as captain of the golf team. He went on to earn his PharmD from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, where he continued his love of tennis and earned several awards for outstanding athletic performance. A pharmacist by profession, he also enjoyed many hours playing tennis at Baker Park in Frederick, a place close to his heart. After retiring, Chris devoted more time to his passion for the financial markets. A lifelong learner, Chris was self-taught in several languages, including Dutch, Polish, French, Italian, Russian, and Spanish. He enjoyed traveling internationally, particularly to Canada and France. Chris loved professional sports and was a devoted supporter of his hometown Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates. Black and Gold ran through his veins, and he faithfully followed his Pittsburgh teams. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at which time a service will be held. Interment will immediately follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Samaritan’s Purse.
