Obituary For Daniel Paul Marcinowski

April 22, 1944 - September 14, 2015

Marcinowski, Daniel P. Age 71, on Monday, September 14, 2015, of Whitehall.

Loving husband of 45 years to Carol (Vietmeier); brother of the late Edna Budd, Edward Marcinowski, Evelyn Budziszewski, Rita Dawida and Joseph Marcinowski; uncle of 16 nieces and nephews, 29 great nieces and nephews and 43 great-great nieces and nephews; godfather of Joanne Budd, Lori (Gielarowski) Kramer, Darin Vietmeier, Andrew Hughes and the late Carol Marcinowski. Dan was a Vietnam Navy Veteran, a member of VFW Post 1810, Veterans of Vietnam Inc, and Veterans Coalition. He is a retired Post-Gazette driver and member of Teamsters Local 211. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to NHS Allegheny Valley School, 1996 Ewings Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15108-3380 or St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

    Carol, we are so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. You and Dan endured his suffering for a long time, and I never heard him complain at the reunions. It was such a pleasure to meet with you two, I'm so glad we were all able to attend the the reunions. We know Dan's suffering is over and he is in a better place.     Dearest Carol and Family, Our hearts are broken for you and for the loss of dear Dan. You and he showed such strength and love for many years.
