Obituary For David H. Sell, Sr.

Age 71, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, of Baldwin Borough.

Beloved husband of Rosemary (Rocco) Sell; loving father of David Sell and Jennifer Sell; son of the late Henry and Katherine Rittiger Little; brother of Mary Ann (Keith) Knecht. David was a friend of Bill W. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 10:00a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Our Lady of Hope Parish, 7003 Baptist Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102.

    We were deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passage from Earth to our Heavenly Father's Kingdom. We had just talked & prayed together a few days before we received the call from David. We knew Dave was weak and not feeling well but had no idea his homecoming would be so soon. Dave and I have been friends and brothers of the heart and by The Blood since May 1964. From that very first meeting, we were best friends. I am so grateful The Lord blessed us with so many wonderful adventures, laughs shared, and precious memories made for us to recall from our childhood. Though time and careers separated us for a while, we were able to reunite our friendship just like the "old" days! (Listen to the song "Old Days" by Chicago for our synopsis.) We would like to extend our sympathies and long-distant hugs to Rosemary, David, Jennifer, and Mary Ann and will continue to keep each of you, as well as others who are saddened, lifted in our prayers.     I've known Dave for 50:years. We met at Edinboro while in college and he married my good friend and roommate. He and Rosemary as well as myself and husband have done many trips throughout the years, several cruises, Alaska, Seattle, Amish country, and many more. He will be missed.
