NETZER, Debra L., age 61 died peacefully in her sleep on April 6, 2017. She was the only child born to Joseph Netzer and the late Shirley M. (Syphard) Halverson in Philadelphia, PA. Preceded in death by grandmother Helen B. Syphard. Survived by an aunt and uncle, Ann and Brendon Carolan, two cousins, Donn Spear and Jeanne Matza.

Upon high school graduation, Debbie took a job as a nanny for a professional couple with two small children. Debbie relocated to Pittsburgh when the couple she was working for moved to Pittsburgh. Debbie lived in the East End of Pittsburgh and attended East Liberty Lutheran Church for over 30 years. Debbie was an integral part of the East Liberty Lutheran Church family and community. She served in many capacities ?? as a worship assistant, on the Alter Guild, as a conformation sponsor, fellowship coordinator and on coffee hour set up. Debbie made many long-standing friends at ELLC.

Debbie remained in the child care profession moving from nanny to child care supervisor at Strawberry Way Day Care Center located in Downtown Pittsburgh. Debbie's favorite past-times included shopping, going out to lunch or dinner with friends, attending movies and concerts, watching TV and reading books and magazines. Debbie had many friends at the apartment building where she resided and will be missed by all of us.
