November 26, 1950 - March 13, 2014

Rodgers, Dennis M.

Age 63, suddenly on Thursday, March 13, 2014, of Baldwin Boro.

Beloved husband and best friend of 28 years to Kelly A. (Turocy); loving father of Stacey L. Sessi and Katie M. Rodgers (Shaun Fess) ; cherished son of Cecilia Rodgers-Kaczynski; loving brother of Gary D. (Mary) and the late Robert P. Rodgers; also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dennis will be missed by long-time companion "Zoey". He was a 40 year employee with Giant Eagle and USC School District. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.

    It was with overwhelming sadness we received the news of Denny's passing. Kelly, Staci, Katie, he was a gem in our hearts. Always there to help. We loved our conversations when we were home in Pittsburgh. Our "worsh women" will live in our hearts. It is unbelievable to us that we will not be able to be with him the next time we're in Pittsburgh. He touched a lot of people and some day we will be reunited. We send our love to you all

    Kelly and Katie (and Stacey), I was shocked to hear about Dennis passing. I am so sorry! Kelly and Katie, both your names come up so frequently around here, it's like you're still here, so news of Dennis got around very quickly.
