January 22, 1932 - September 9, 2016

Bachman, Dolores "Dolly" Age 84, on Friday, September 9, 2016 of Jefferson Hills formerly of Butler, PA.

Beloved wife of 66 years to Dale Bachman; loving mother of Gary (Trina), Karen (Mike) Mashburn, Keith (Darlene), Susan (the late Terry) Thornton and Brian (Jan) Bachman. Cherished grandma of Lindsay, Derrick, Stephanie, Tracey, Amy, Becca, Grace, Carly, Ben, Emma, Kimmy and Sarah; proud great grandmother of J.D. and Elise; daughter of the late Gaston and Mary Dandois; sister of the late Ivan Dandois. Active and longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Zion Lutheran Memorial Fund, 4301 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

    Karen, I happened to be in Pittsburgh and saw that your Mom has passed. My deepest sympathy to you and all of your family. Your Mom was always so kind and welcoming to me and all of your high school friends. She so loved her family and made everyone else feel at home. I recently drove by the church, remembering that your parents once invited me to join the family in a service there. Funny what pops into your mind when you come "home". I know she will be missed, but the lessons she taught you of family and love will live on with all of you.
