Obituary For Dolores M. Meyer

August 3, 1941 - June 15, 2016

Meyer, Dolores M. "Dolly" (Schaum), age 74, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 of Carrick. Beloved wife of 55 years to Robert C. Meyer; loving mom of Darlene (Steve) Hochendoner, Karen Meyer, Laura Jean (Ron) Florian, and Suzanne DiPippa; proud grandmother of Ron (Nicole), Bob, Nick (Kati) and Jacquelyn Florian, Adam and Luke Hochendoner, Sami and Toni DiPippa and Ben Frazier; great-grandma of Vada, Ronnie, Nathan and Jacob; sister of Mildred (the late Dennis) Bidden. Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday and Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Basil Church at 10:30 a.m.

    As one of her co-workers at CCAC, I am deeply saddened to hear of Dolly's passing. I joked with her that I saw more of her after she "retired" than before! Her service to CCAC was extraordinary, and I could always, always count on her to accurately explain the College's fringe benefits programs...she was extremely competent in her work, and was a good friend to all who knew her. She will be missed and remembered
