Obituary For Dolores M. (Scarlatelli) Butelli

Age 95, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, of Whitehall.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Butelli; loving mother of Robert D. Butelli, Diann (William) Welsch, the late Jimmy (survived by Cheryl) Butelli and the late Gary Butelli; mother-in-law of Kelly Butelli; grandmother of Anthony Butelli, Samantha (Connor) Pegher, Alexander Butelli, Reno Butelli, Maria (George) McCoy and William Welsch; great-grandmother of Nolan Butelli and Andrew and Colin McCoy; daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Scarlatelli; sister of Nick Scarlatelli, Bernie (Marion) Scarlatelli and the late Annette (Jack) Coates, Eleanor Swisher, Helen (Jimmy) Reiss and Donald (Barbara) Scarlatelli. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Dolores was the ultimate caretaker. After raising her children and caring for her grandchildren, she worked at Bright and Early daycare in Whitehall until the age of 85. Dolores served at the matriarch of the family passing down family recipes and traditions. Dolores will be dearly missed by many.

Services will be held privately. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.

    We so enjoyed the Senior Center more recently with our beautiful and loved Aunt Dolores. It was a joyous Tuesday to be spending time with Aunt Dolores, Aunt Helen, Uncle Bernie, Aunt Marion and Dad. I will forever cherish the memory of Aunt Dolores sharing sweet family photos of Robbie, Jimmy, Diane and Gary that she carried in her purse and dearly cherished. We will forever remember your beauty and the love and kindness we all shared. We will forever cherish the memory of your delicious PIZELLES at Christmas..     I'm so thankful and blessed God picked you to be my Grandma. You will forever be my favorite person. No one can compare to the kind of person my Grandmother was. When I was a child I used to always remember telling her I could never imagine my life without her. and I'm sad the day has come. It hurts so much she's not here anymore and I will miss her forever.     I am heartbroken to hear of Dolores's passing. I have so many fond memories of her. She made every day a pleasure to come to work - we would always find something to laugh about. She was an angel on earth, treating every child as if they were her own. She loved her own kids and grandkids dearly and lived for them. I know that she will be missed.
