Obituary For Dolores R. Novosel

Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Novosel; loving mother of Marlene (Woody) Moss, Ronald (Joan) Novosel, Nancy (the late Dave) Wittig and Ken (Theresa) Novosel; cherished grandmother of 15; devoted great-grandmother of 31; and great-great-grandmother of 1; sister of the late Bill (Ginny), Bob (Phil), Pete (Audrey) and Norm (survived by Lois) Feldmeier; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2-8 pm. Funeral prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Veterans of the Vietnam War, Jack Greer Memorial, Post 52, 13216 Dunham Road, Meadville, PA 16335. Please make checks payable to Post 52.

    As I write, my heart is filled with love and sadness. Your mom was a huge part of my childhood. I am grateful that our friendship continued through her life time. I am heartbroken that Mike and I can't be with you. Please know my memories of "Oakleaf Dolly"....when she would call me she would always say this is Oakleaf Dolly...and her "boyfriend ", Jack , will always be cherished in my memories.     Marlene, My sincerest condolences on the passing of your Mother. I read the obituary in the paper this morning and saw your name as her daughter. I can't believe that she had so many grandchildren! I still live in Pittsburgh, in Oakland. I have a daughter in Los Angeles and a son in Brooklyn. No marriages, no grandchildren.
