Cummings, Donald Evans Age 87, a resident of Brookdale, Mt. Lebanon (Formerly of Overbrook), passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 31, 2018.

He was a 1948 graduate of Carrick High School and attended Robert Morris Business School. While serving aboard the battleship USS Wisconsin during the Korean War, Don developed a love of travel, an activity he avidly pursued throughout his life. His other interests included coin collecting, bowling, board games and golf. Don worked for the U.S. Postal Service for the majority of his career. He was preceded in death by his brother, William H. Cummings of Pittsburgh, and survived by his sister, Marion C. Karl of Pittsburgh and brothers, Robert N. Cummings (Virginia) of Waynesboro, VA and Gerald L. Cummings (Mary Jane) of Dayton, OH, as well as 13 nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will be held at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. prior to burial at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Light of Life Ministries, 913 Western Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15233 or City Mission, 84 W. Wheeling St., Washington, PA 15301.
