Obituary For Donald W. Knuth

August 18, 1935 - December 7, 2014

Knuth, Donald W., age 79, on Sunday, December 7, 2014 of Bethel Park. Beloved husband of 39 years to Diana Gayle (McTall) Knuth; loving father of Jennifer (Randy) Seitzinger and Colleen Garrubba (Chuck Miller); stepfather of Shelly (Paul) Zankel-Burge and Jeffrey (Judy) Zankel; proud Pap/Pappy of Brooke, Brandon, Tyler, Gracey, Tara, Lindsay, Kelsey, Eric and Amber; great-grandfather of Landon, Aubrey and Eric; dear son-in-law of Helen McTall; special brother-in-law of George and Linda McTall, Lou and Margie McTall, Loretta and Russ Cancilla, Janis Ripper, Mary Crowley, Jerry and Syl McTall, Joe McTall, Patti and Bob Eurich. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald was in Retail Grocery Management for 46 years retiring in 2002. He was a Pittsburgh sports enthusiast, especially the Steelers. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 333 E. Carson St., Ste. 441, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
