Obituary For Eddie "Ed" Jackowski

June 5, 1943 - March 24, 2017

Jackowski, Eddie "Ed" Age 73, on Friday, March 24, 2017, of Mt. Oliver, unexpectedly passed away at home with his best friend, Mia, his dog at his side.

Loving and devoted dad of Valerie Ritter and Jen (Jon) Krause; beloved husband of the late Maryann (Lis) Jackowski; son of the late Max and Irene (Chojnowski) Jackowski; treasured Pappy of Devin, Samantha, Matthew, Phillip and David; brother of Max (Ruth) Jackowski, Irene (Rege) Shuminsky and the late Lois (Bunks) Wilson; loving companion of the late Lori Zuhl. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ed had a heart of gold, would do anything for anybody and was always in a good mood. He will be sadly missed.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 1-7 p.m., and Friday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at which time a blessing service will be held.

    Ed's Family, I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed in the neighborhood. I will miss our daily chats everytime he drove by and saw me. Him and my dad always had long talks everyday. I lost my dad 5 mos ago and now they are up there together just talking away as they did everyday. May he find peace always and may he always be watching over you all. ED's neighbor Kim 614
