Obituary For Edward Michael Group

Age 82, of Brentwood, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Beloved husband of 58 years to Dianna H. (Heh) Group; loving father of Stephanie A. (Herb) Rocco and Jennifer L. (Christopher) Mayle; devoted Pap of Jordan, Cody, Rylee and Kay; son of the late Edward and Pauline (Yost) Group; brother of Patricia (James) DeTrude, Gary (Sandra) Group, John (Joanne) Group and Daniel (Leslie) Group. Also survived by nieces, nephews and their families. Edward served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Germany. He owned Ed's Alignment in Homestead for over 40 years. Ed was happiest when he was helping people. He was loved by all animals and he knew no strangers. His greatest devotion was his grandchildren and he will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m.

    Jennifer and family. I am so sorrybto hear of your dads passing. Your mom and dad were.my favorite couple to wait on at Eat n park on 51. He alasys talked about you and his grand kids. He loved your mom so much he once t old me I don't know what im gonna do without her.( when she got really sick). He came to see me all the time and loved to show me the last picture he had of them and say I just love her so much. And i said she loves you right back. Please except my deepest condolences.
