Obituary For Ellen "Irene" Hull

January 19, 1937 - March 23, 2016 Hull, Ellen "Irene" (Leslie, Lang), of Whitehall, age 79, born January 19, 1937, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Wife of the late Francis Jerome "Jerry" Lang and Harry Daniel "Dan" Hull; loving mother of Dennis (Marcel Narish) Lang, Karen (Jim) Geiser, Maureen (Michael) Wuerthele, Jackie (Pete) Bigley, and Bonnie (Rich) Buehler; beloved grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of four with two on the way; daughter of the late Paul and Mildred Leslie; sister of the late Anna Marie Larkin and Paul Leslie. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene graduated from St Justin's High School in 1954 and worked for several financial institutions; Mellon, First Federal, and Northwest Savings banks. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her unconditional selflessness, continuous strength, and wholehearted kindness and will be missed by all. She loved her Steelers and her card clubs.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 and Three River's Hospice, 1195 Jacks Run Rd, North Versailles, PA 15137.
